What are AEO and GEO?
Answer engine optimisation and generative engine optimisation. Put simply: getting ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers to know your business, describe it correctly and recommend it. We track a set of questions your customers ask those tools every week, and fix the pages they draw on.
Who is Dinkum for?
Any business that wants more customers from search: software, services, shops, agencies. If people look for what you sell on Google or ask an AI about it, we can help.
Is this software I have to learn?
No. Dinkum is a service. We do the work; you approve changes and read the updates in Slack. The dashboard is there whenever you want to look, and there's a call every month.
My site isn't on GitHub. Can we still work together?
Yes. We'll migrate your website into a GitHub repo for you, keeping every URL, redirect and page title so you don't lose the rankings you already have. Once it's moved, every change arrives for your approval like everyone else's.
Is this just AI writing blog posts?
Writing is a small part of it. Most days the best move is a fix: a title that isn't earning clicks, a page sitting at position 11, a link pointing at a redirect, a price that changed. Every change is chosen from your data, checked against your real facts, reviewed by a second model and measured afterwards.
How soon will I see results?
Shipped work in the first week. Search moves slower: a single change usually shows up in two to four weeks, and traffic compounds over months. The day-14 and day-28 checks show you which changes are pulling their weight along the way.
Could it break my site?
Every change has to build, look right on desktop and phone, stay inside your marketing pages and pass a second review before you see it. Then you approve it, or you don't.
Why “Dinkum”?
Fair dinkum is Australian for genuine. We wanted search work you can check: every change visible, every result measured.
